Welcome to the Rhiana Griffith Fan Club!

This is a web community and news resource for fans of this brilliant young Australian actress and artist. Whether you're a long-time fan of her work or just discovering her, we have the information about what she's done, and what she's doing, that you're looking for. Browse through our pages and you'll see why we feel Rhiana is one of the most gifted actresses to emerge in a very long time, and that she's destined for great things to come.

Most of our pages are now online. We still have a few image galleries and filmography pages to bring up, but everything else is in place. Make sure you keep checking back, though, because we're constantly finding new things to add to our pages.

January 12, 2006 — Rhiana on her way to L.A., Spain, and Vin!

We just got a wonderful new article about Rhiana, that appeared in the Newcastle Herald! Our girl is preparing to go journeying a little! She’s got an apartment in L.A. and will be living there for a while to attend auditions and build her career. But first, in the really cool news, she’s taking a bit of time to backpack in Europe. Her destination: Vin Diesel’s Hannibal film set in Spain, where she and her Pitch Black costar will finally reunite! No word on whether any kind of onscreen appearance together is in the cards, but we can wish and hope!

January 7, 2006 — Chat Applet Temporarily Offline

We discovered just a little bit ago that the applet many of you use to access the chat room has been temporarily disabled, because our IRC hosts,, have temporarily pulled their web pages. We will be consulting with them to find out how long it will be down, and will try to make arrangements for other access to the chat room in the interim. As always, we highly recommend the use of programs like mIRC and Trillian for people who want to chat with us. We’ll let you know as soon as the applet has been restored or new arrangements have been made.

December 22, 2005 — Sorry about that

Our webhosters came under some kind of hacker attack a few days ago, which is why the site was up and down and looking pretty messy for the last few days. They say everything’s resolved now, and we have our fingers crossed. It’s good to be back!

December 12, 2005 — New Rhiana Works!

We have been given the extraordinary privilege of being allowed to display six of Rhiana’s newest paintings! These paintings are so new that Rhiana hasn’t even titled them yet! They are part of a series she’s putting together for a show that she expects will open in mid-2006. It is our very distinct honor to be able to display them here!

These paintings will not actually be available for purchase until they appear in their art show, but as soon as we get details about where and when that will be, we’ll be sure to share them so that any prospective buyers can contact the gallery about whichever one you’ve fallen in love with!

Thank you, Rhiana! We are all so honored here!

And check this out too…

It’s a new face-shot of Rhiana, by photographer Shelley Cornish, and is she ever gorgeous! We love this picture so much that we’re considering coming up with a new layout to showcase it!

December 6, 2005 — Out of the Chrysalis!

We’ve been given very gracious permission, from Rhiana’s agent, to share some lovely photos taken at the premiere of her first art show, Chrysalis. These five images are of the opening ceremonies, and include Rhiana addressing the premiere’s attendees, her brother Damien giving a poetry reading, and Rhiana posing with some of her extraordinary paints. There are no words for how delighted we are to be able to show these!

We hope to have more pictures and news very soon!

October 31, 2005 — Happy Halloween, and…

It’s been a quiet month at the RGFC, largely because our Webmistress has been a bit under the weather, but things should get lively again soon.

JD Cohen and Laura Sivis are taking Volunteer to the American Film Market to meet with potential financial backers, so we all want to wish them luck! Hopefully we’ll have more news about the film’s preproduction schedule soon!

Best of luck, Jon and Laura!

October 5, 2005 — Our Message Board Tops the 250-Member Mark!

The Rhiana Griffith Fan Club would like to welcome all of our new members, who have been making our message board lively and great! Today we hit — and passed — the 250-member mark! That’s very impressive for a site that’s been up less than two years!

Still haven’t joined? Click here!

September 25, 2005 — Three Times the Charm for Wrong Answer!

Ardath’s back from the Frankly Film Fest with wonderful news! Our girl was a major hit and blew everybody away!

Wrong Answer was incredibly popular at the festival, both with the judges and with the audience alike. How popular? It came away with three top prizes in the festival:

– Judge’s Choice: Short Film

– Audience Choice: Short Film

Best of Fest!

That’s right, our girl’s newest film swept all of the categories it qualified for, and took home the festival’s top prize! And that was no mean feat; Ardath saw almost all of the entries and says there was a lot of amazing material entered in the festival.

We send out our heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS! to JD Cohen, Laura Sivis, everyone involved in the creation of Wrong Answer… and of course, to Rhiana, who’s finally getting the recognition she’s long deserved! We know this is just the beginning!

September 22, 2005 — Frankly Film Fest, here we come!

The winners of the Frankly Film Fest contest have been announced, and guess who took home the grand prize?

If you guessed our own webmistress, Ardath Rekha, you were right! She’s hitting the road tomorrow morning to make her way to Middletown, Ohio, where she’ll have her first chance to see Rhiana on the big screen since Pitch Black!

She promises to file a full report with us when she gets back. Woo HOO!

September 6, 2005 — Win Tickets to see Wrong Answer!

The Frankly Film Fest is having a contest and the Grand Prize is two all-access passes to the Festival! Click on the link to see more details about how the contest works, because you could be getting to see the theatrical premiere of Rhiana’s new short film if you win! You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the event, but if the trip is one you can make, this is a great opportunity!

Presales of tickets have already begun for the event, and this is definitely a festival we want to support!

So… who’s road tripping to Ohio at the end of the month?

August 27, 2005 — Let the Festivals Begin!

We were visiting some of our favorite sites, when we found this! Wrong Answer will be appearing as part of the program for the Frankly Film Fest, held in Middletown, Ohio on September 23rd through the 25th! It’s one of three films by JD Cohen which will air at the festival; also showing will be his short film Control, and his feature-length film Sum Of Existence. This is very exciting news, and hopefully the films will be touring even more festivals in the US!

August 22, 2005 — Major Change to the Message Board

Due to circumstances outside of our control, and which the administrators of “Yahoo!” refuse to control, we regret to announce that people will no longer be able to sign up for board accounts using a “Yahoo!” email address. There are too many false accounts being created by spammers, and which we then have to delete for the board’s protection. If you used a “Yahoo!” email address to register, please click here to read all of the details about the situation and what we need you to do.

We apologize for the inconvenience but too many spammers are taking advantage of Yahoo’s lax security to do anything else.

August 16, 2005 — Rhiana Griffith: Sports Coach!

Okay, we’re starting to sense a trend here. First we had caps from the part of 15 Amore where Rhiana’s character gives another girl a tennis lesson… now we have this wonderful clip from her run on Home & Away, and what’s our girl doing? She’s giving a surfing lesson!

We just acquired two fantastic clips from the show, which were apparently made by Andy from BOMScans. Back in ’03 Andy gave us a bunch of wonderful pictures of Rhiana from her Home & Away run; we had no idea he’d also made these!

The Surfing Lesson
In this clip, Rhiana’s character Aimee Cooper offers to give some pointers to Haylee (Rebecca Cartwright) and
Dani (Tammin Sursok). It’s a minute and a half long, and very high-quality (more than 10 megs!) so give it a while to load. (You might want to save it to your computer.)
  The Bikini Carwash
Yes, you may already have seen a version of this; Suave (of the now-defunct Suavescans) gave us a copy in ’03. But apparently he cut out a bit of dialogue, which is available in this version!

Thanks go out to Sanmatty at AussieCelebs, who was sweet enough to dig these out and share them, and thanks of course go to Andy for creating them!

So who’d like to sign up for Rhiana’s next gym class?

August 5, 2005 — Who knew a Wrong Answer could look so right?

JD Cohen, director of Wrong Answer (and Volunteer) has very kindly sent us some wonderful new publicity stills of Rhiana’s performance in the film. Check them out — they’re beautiful and make us want to see
the film more than ever!

Our girl looks absolutely amazing, doesn’t she?

July 31, 2005 — Learning Tennis With Rhiana!

Our latest batch of 15 Amore screencaps is up, and we love these! Follow along as Rhiana’s Mercia teaches Tara Jakszewicz’s Rachel how to play tennis, with amusing and adorable results. No wonder Rhiana calls this film “innocent and romantic…” we do too!
