These screencaps come from the opening segment of the TV show. It begins in the brothel, where Cindy is being stabilized by paramedics Cate McMasters (Alexandra Davies) and Nigel "Mac" MacPherson (Grant Bowler) in preparation for transportation to All Saints Hospital. Her room is a disheveled mess, clearly the scene of a struggle. Notice the bloodstain on the wall behind Cate's head. Although no one ever says, in this sequence, that Cindy's a prostitute and this is a brothel, it becomes abundantly clear that that's the case. As the sequence ends, and Cindy's being wheeled out, Cate notices another girl working in the brothel... who can't be more than thirteen years old.

In this sequence, Cate and Mac bring Cindy into All Saints and put her into the care of Dr. Vincent Hughes (Chris Gabardi) and Nurse Jessica Singleton (Natalie Saleeba). In a scene that immediately follows, Dr. Hughes is approached by police investigators who inform him that Cindy is the latest victim of a serial assaulter, who has been targeting young sex workers that fit her physical profile.

This is a two-scene set of images. In the first scene, Dr. Hughes tells Cindy that, as long as the orthopaedic surgeon clears her wrist, she can leave the hospital later that day.

This is our favorite scene! As Cindy checks out from the hospital, Cate catches up with her, wanting to ask her about the underage girl she spotted at the brothel. As the scene unfolds, it becomes clear that Cindy knows exactly who the girl in question is, and has no intention of cooperating with Cate's investigation. Rhiana conveys a wealth of emotions and hints at a number of possible reasons for Cindy's truculence, in a brilliant performance that reminds us of Jodie Foster's work. A definite must-see!
