November 27, 2004 -- We're Here!
Welcome to the RGFC on its new space! We've made a lot of changes to how we store information, and hopefully you'll really like it.

Here are some of the things that have been updated and changed:

This is just the beginning. We're still working to bring online images and information about Rhiana's latest, and older, roles. We're about to start updating the Fan Fiction section again with many of the lovely stories that have been posted in our message boards. And as always, the second we have new Rhiana news, you'll see it here.

So welcome back! It's now slightly over a year since we posted our first piece of news on these pages, and we're just amazed at how much the site has grown. To everybody who has been a part of that growth, thank you, and this next year should be even better!

November 26, 2004 -- Final Countdown to the Move!
We're in the final stages of preparing to move to our new server. This means that a few of our services are, or will be, going offline for the next few days.

We've transferred over our fiction archives at this point, and so, for the next several days, the archives are "locked" against receiving further comments and feedback to the stories. This is just so that nobody's comments get lost during the transition, so please do post to the stories once the move is complete.

Once everything else is ready, the message board will also go offline for a brief period of time, to prevent posts from being lost during the transition. You will be able to tell when the move has been completed, then, because:

November 15, 2004 -- Another milestone!
The Rhiana Griffith Fan Club would like to extend a warm welcome to Aurora, our 150th Message Board member! And welcome to all of our new members, and thank you to everybody who has helped us come so far in less than a year! Woo HOO!

November 11, 2004 -- Art Updates!
We're still preparing for the server move, but in the meantime we have some lovely new Rhiana stuff for you to enjoy!

First, we have a new image gallery in Fan Art, showcasing the beautiful avatar icons that Katy has been making. Check them out, because they're gorgeous!

Second, we recently discovered that the portrait that Robyn Stanton-Werkhoven did of Rhiana was entered into the Portia Geach Memorial portraiture contest in Australia, and was one of sixty paintings selected for the show! Not only that, but on October 31, Robyn and Rhiana were speakers at a talk given in conjunction with the show: "Painting That Well-Known Face." Robyn was one of four portrait artists speaking on their experiences of painting a celebrity, and Rhiana spoke as well, to give the perspective of a portrait subject.

We should be making our server move in about another two weeks, so things are still going to be a little quiet around here... on the surface, anyway. There will be a lot of new stuff after the move!
