March 30, 2004 -- Update: More PB Image Galleries!
Galleries 13,
14
and 15
are up, full of more Rhiana shots from the film!
March 29, 2004 -- Dark Fury still shining bright
Amazon reports that The
Chronicles of Riddick - Dark Fury is still having amazing presales.
Still two and a half months before its official release date, it has now
climbed to the #24 spot in Anime and Manga presales, and is now in the
#8,074 spot for DVD sales. Those are excellent numbers! In sharp contrast,
the buzz for The Chronicles of Riddick is still very disappointing.
A member of the Ain't It Cool News site posted a review of a sneak peek
screening, in which he expressed a rather worrying level of disappointment
with the film (the review vanished soon after). Now a rumor has surfaced
that a second round of reshoots has been ordered. Too bad it's unlikely
their reshoots will solve the problem we have with the film...
but then again, it's sounding more and more like Rhiana may have dodged
a bullet here.
March 28, 2004 -- ATTENTION CANADIAN FANS!
White Collar Blue is currently running on the Showcase
channel. We didn't find out in time for the first broadcast of Rhiana's
episode, but the series is about to start over. Season 1, Episode 1 will
be broadcast on April 1. Rhiana's episode, #10, should run about two weeks
later. If you get the Showcase channel, and would be willing to tape for
us, please
write to us and let us know.
March 27, 2004 -- Pitch Black Screen Caps, Continued!
Ardath has added two more galleries of screencaps to the Pitch
Black area. More are on their way soon!
Spotlight Image of the Day:

We're betting this is a screencap you've never seen before. From a blink-and-you-missed-it
moment in the film, it happened when Jack stopped by Paris to give him
more wick-holders for his bottles. Rhiana's face only entered the picture
for three frames of film, so you have to be quick on your feet (or an
obsessive-compulsive nut!) to catch it.
March 25, 2004 -- Pitch Black Screen Caps, Part
1!
The first 10 image galleries for Pitch Black are up, brand-new
screencaps from the Director's Cut. As usual, it's capped with our normal
obsessive-compulsive attention to detail, so if Rhiana was in a shot,
it's in our galleries. This is only the first half of the film, though
-- many more galleries are on their way soon. Click
here to check them out!
March 23, 2004 -- The move is completed.
We are now located on our new webspace. Everything should be functional
again. Please let us know if you have any problems or encounter any missing
files.
March 22, 2004 -- Update -- Message Board temporarily
closed.
We are in the process of relocating from one webhoster to another,
and have closed our messageboard for the duration of the move, which may
take 24-48 hours. You will see a message on this page (and will be able
to post to the board again) the moment the move is completed. If you use
the board to send private messages to friends, be aware that any messages
you send while the move is in progress may be lost. Thank you.
March 20, 2004 -- Update: More articles!
While we haven't received any additional scans of Rhiana articles,
Ardath has gone ahead and put up text-only pages for more than a dozen
in her files. Now you can read about Rhiana's early career and follow
its progress in print. Hopefully we'll have even more soon! Click
here to access the articles.
March 19, 2004 -- Update: More Home and Away!
Erin Pedz keeps giving us wonderful images. Now the seventh
gallery of her Home & Away screencaps is online. Click
here to see Rhiana's "Aimee" try her hand at seduction!
March 18, 2004 -- Update: Pre-Order Success!
According to Amazon.com, Dark Fury is already a huge success.
Based upon its sales so far (and we still have almost three months until
it actually comes out!) it's the #35 "early adopter" item in
Anime and Manga sales. Its overall rank on Amazon is currently #14,501.
We'd say that's a strong indication of Rhiana's commercial viability!
March 14, 2004 -- Update: New Galleries!
To accommodate all the wonderful pictures and articles we've been
getting, we now have several new galleries for you to enjoy:
You'll definitely want to check them out!
March 13, 2004 -- Update: Gifts from Down Under!
Well, someone needs to smack Ardath's computer. For the last month
or so, it was refusing to download some wonderful email that RhiFan sent
her... scans of Rhiana articles! She didn't even know they were there
until today! Artemis came to the rescue, fortunately, so now we have them
for you to enjoy:
And if that wasn't enough, Erin Pedz, one of our New Zealand
members, has been screencapping from her videotape of Home and Away...
check
out the first of her screencaps!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Jon and
Erin!
March 12, 2004 -- Update: White Collar Blue now
up!
Our filmography page for White
Collar Blue is now online, along with six image galleries and two
fantastic media files. Fan Artists: check out the image galleries
-- they are full of amazing face-shots of Rhiana wearing a variety
of riveting expressions. Now if we can just get this show to air in America...
March 9, 2004 -- Update: First Dark Fury
images!
The first images from The
Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury are out, and they have Peter
Chung's trademark style from Aeon Flux, to be sure! Check them out!
The synopsis on AnimatedBliss.com
is as follows:
The Chronicles Of Riddick: Dark Fury delivers thrilling
sci-fi adventure that takes Riddick, Jack, and Imam on a death-defying
confrontation with an intergalactic bounty hunter.
Rhiana Griffith as a girl named Jack... why couldn't the movie
be this good?
March 8, 2004 -- Update: Archibald Never Looked
So Good!
Rhiana's portrait for the Archibald Prize entry is complete! Click
here to read all about it... and check it out!
March 6, 2004 -- Update: Order Dark Fury!
The Chronicles
of Riddick: Dark Fury
is now available for pre-order through Amazon.com. Rumors say that
the storyline of this 30-minute anime is stand-alone, and doesn't rely
upon the feature film. That's definitely a plus! Also, look back
to our February 26 update for links to the four versions
of the Pitch Black re-release.
March 2, 2004 -- Update
Our message board is back online and functional, whew!
February 29, 2004 -- We know, we know...
Something's gone wonky with the message board. If you log in,
it becomes inaccessible. We're working on fixing it, but we're still trying
to figure out what the problem is. We hope to have it back up soon.
February 27, 2004 -- Update: Whoo hoo, it's TRUE!
We
just got positive confirmation: Rhiana is starring in the TCOR Anime!
As soon as we can give you a pre-order link, we will. We're still gonna
miss her like crazy from the movie, of course, but at least there's this
in consolation (and something, for those of us who are skipping the film,
to look forward to in June)!
February 26, 2004 -- Update:
Dark Fury?
DavisDVD
has announced the re-release of Pitch Black, in June 2004, to help
promote the film The Chronicles of Riddick. Our beloved Pitch
Black itself has been unfortunately retitled to The Chronicles
of Riddick: Pitch Black. The new release will be available in four
formats: Widescreen
Director's Cut, Full-Screen
Director's Cut, Wide-Screen
Theatrical Release, and Full-Screen
Theatrical Release. Extras have not yet been announced, but we're
hoping there'll be lots more Rhiana. In even better news, we now
have confirmation that yes, indeed, an anime tie-in to the film exists.
Its name is The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, and it will be
released on DVD on June 15, retailing at $14.98. There's no clear word
on what it's about or who stars in it, but we can hope the prior rumor
that Rhiana will recap her role, as the only Jack we'll
ever love, is in fact true. We'll keep looking for more information as
it emerges!
February 17, 2004 -- Update!
The Pitch Black filmography page
is online; image galleries will be coming soon.
February 9, 2004 -- Update: Unprecedented Artistic
Success!
Rhiana's first art exhibition closed on February 1, and it was an enormous
success. At 59 paintings, it was larger than most shows of its kind. It
was also the Tighes Hill Gallery's first solo exhibition... and it sold
out! Every single painting sold, and the gallery has continued to
receive inquiries about whether more paintings are available. Additionally,
one of the gallery's co-owners, Robyn Stanton-Werkhoven -- a major artist
herself -- has chosen Rhiana as the subject for a portrait which will
be submitted for the prestigious Archibald Prize. We know we're
impressed!
February 4, 2004 -- Update!
Superchick has done it again! She's set up Was
It Sex? It was Amore, the Official 15 Amore Fanlisting with
The Fanlistings Network!
If you love the movie as much as we do, drop by and sign up on the Fanlisting.
Haven't seen it? Check out our shopping page
and get yourself a copy. You won't be disappointed -- this is the
film that made Rhiana fall in love with acting!
January 27, 2004 -- Update!
Our friend and member, Superchick, has set up Abstract
Goddess, the Official Rhiana Griffith Fanlisting with The
Fanlistings Network. Definitely take a moment to stop by and sign
up, and grab yourself an icon for your site or online .signature! If you're
a member of our message board and want to use one of the icons as an avatar
for the board, we've stored them in a directory on this site for your
use, too. Check in News & Discussion to see them and see the URL you'll
need to put in your member profile.
January 20, 2004 -- Updates!
Well, we've had a busy few days here. Rhiana's gallery exhibition
has opened, and we're trying to get some materials we can post... but
in the meantime, our Rhiana Biography is now
up, and we're in the process of testing out a new Message
Board that will replace the Yahoo!Group. Check them out, and let us
know what you think!
