More hopeful speculation than news, but ...

 ... there's a guy posting on the TCoR sequel board on imdb who claims he knows people who have access to its script. The plot sounds more interesting than I might have expected, much more like Pitch Black, but what piqued my interest is a comment he made about being happy to see a familiar face of somebody we technically haven't met yet. He had already said that Kyra was only going to appear in flashbacks to her death scene from the last movie, so it sounds like Alexa Davalos isn't going to be in the sequel. I can't help but wonder if they aren't planning to bring back Rhiana's grown up Jack. I hope so; it would be great to see Rhiana on the big screen again.

On Mr. Diesel's Facebook page he has posted concept art.  Its a drawing of Riddick crawling around with a creature that lookes like a cross between a doberman and a lizard nipping at him.  There is a notation: "The Furian... left for dead... "  So maybe the Necros dumped him some place and will not be an issue going forward.

I would love for Rhiana to come back as Jack or even someone else who reminds him more of Jack than Kyra did.  I nice line in the film would be "You remind of someone I knew... more than she did." 

I wonder if Ms. Griffith ever went to Canada.  A lot of TV and movie production teams there.  She would find work easy I think.

It's been about a year since she last did anything that we've heard about (the coffee commercial). No more commercials or TV or movies or art shows that we've been able to find.
