SIBLINGS Rhiana and Damien Griffith expected to find some creative energy for their latest exhibition, but they didn't expect to find each other.
Rhiana's painted works illustrate her brother's poetry at the Sibling Revelry exhibition at Tighes Hill Gallery.
They have been collaborating since midway through last year and have also produced a book on the artwork and poems.
Damien is four years older than his sister and it was the first time they had worked together.
"I learnt Rhiana has grown into a lovely young woman. She's not a little kid I can beat around anymore," Damien said.
Rhiana said there was the occasional "shut up" comment thrown around, but they did try and understand the messages behind each others work.
"Sometimes I perceived it right, sometimes I was way off," Damien said of his sister's paintings.
Actor and friend Jon Pollard will open the exhibition at Tighes Hill Gallery on Saturday at 6pm. The producer and artist is probably best known for his role as Bolton in the ABC series Heartbreak High.
Rhiana, an accomplished actress herself, has appeared in TV dramas including Home and Away, White Collar Blue and All Saints.
Her film credits include 15 Amore, Pitch Black with Vin Diesel, Search and, most recently, the animated feature Dark Fury.
Her first solo exhibition at Tighes Hill sold out last year and her paintings were snapped up by local and international buyers.
Damien finds inspiration for his poetry in everyday life and through overseas travel experiences.
